Parent Empowerment Meeting

On the first four Mondays in March, Todd Page and Brock Peters will be co-facilitating a Love and Logic parenting class.  Love and Logic is a philosophy founded by Jim Fay and Foster W. Cline, M.D., and is based on the experience of a combined total of over 75 years working with and raising kids.  It provides simple and practical techniques to help teachers and parents have less stress and more fun while raising responsible kids.  Love and Logic offers many useful techniques that teachers and parents can begin experimenting with immediately.

 

Strategies will include:

  • Avoiding your child's conflict cycle.
  • Responding to a child's behavior as opposed to reacting to it.
  • Allowing the natural or logical consequence of choice help change behavior.
  • Viewing your child's misbehavior as an opportunity for teaching and growth.
