We had quiet reading on Tuesdays and Thursdays for the month of March. The kids enjoyed reading from an array of books. We ended the month with "Have You Filled a Bucket Today?" We talked about how everyone has an invisible bucket to hold their good thoughts and what we can do to fill someone else's bucket. Ask your child what it means to have a full bucket vs. an empty bucket.
My hiking trip down the Grand Canyon was breathtaking. I will never look at the Grand Canyon the same way again. Thank you Vicki Wheeler, Mindy Sinclair and Ann Myles for taking care of the Child Care kids while I was gone.
Once again it is time for Kindergarten Round up. Whether it is your first child or last, it is always an exciting time in both of your lives when a child starts school. This can be a big transition for both the parent and the child. Child Care is here to help make that transition a bit easier.
Child Care is a before and after school program for school age children K-5 who attend FPE or OMS. We are always happy to have new children. We have many varied activities to keep your child's mind stimulated. This includes basketball, kickball, arts and crafts, board games, reading, help with homework, plus outdoor activities.

Olivet Child Care is a before and after school program organized by Olivet Community Schools. We are also open on half days, fog delays, snow days, and no school days, with the exception of certain holidays. Olivet Child Care is located at Fern Persons Elementary School and is open to students in the Olivet School District who attend FPE grades K-3rd and OMS grades 4th & 5th. A shuttle bus service is available to transport students in the 4th & 5th grades to and from the Middle School. Below are the hours of operation. Rates are very reasonable. Full School Days
6:30 - 8:30 a.m. and 3:40 - 6:30 p.m.
Two Hour Delay Days (fog/bad weather)
6:30 - 10:30 a.m. and 3:30 - 6:30 p.m.
Half Days
6:30 - 8:30 a.m. and 12:15 - 6:30 p.m.
No School and Snow Days *
6:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.
*Child Care will be open on snow days
if at all possible.
Spring and Winter Break determined on need.
Please note on half days or no school/snow days,
children will need a sack lunch for child care.

Full Price Lunch - $2.50 per hour
Reduced Lunch - $2.00 per hour
Free Lunch - $1.50 per hour
$1.50 per hour additional children in a family
