Brock Peters, New Principal at FPE

Only one word comes to mind as I look back on the journey that has brought my wife Liz, our four daughters, and me to this point: blessed.  I was blessed to grow up in Olivet.  After moving to Olivet in 4th grade, I was able to make some amazing friends and memories here.  When I left Olivet to attend Albion College, I was certain that I wanted to become a teacher and work with kids.  I was blessed to get my first teaching job in Warren, MI.  During our time there, Liz and I were blessed with great jobs, friends, and a church family.  However, the entire time we were in Warren, we longed to raise our kids in a small town like we had both grown up in.  Five years ago we were given that opportunity as Liz was hired as a 3rd grade teacher, and I was hired as the Student Support Services Coordinator at Fern Persons Elementary.  There has been no regret in our decision.  I am honored to serve our students, staff, and families in my new role as FPE’s principal, hoping to give back to the community that has been such a blessing to me.
