FFA Expectations
FFA Scholastic Eligibility
1. We will follow the athletic eligibility rules (1 E doesn’t allow a student to participate in a function during school hours). For example, attend a trip.
2. Those who don’t make up their work on a consistent basis will not be allowed to attend the next conference.
3. If an officer has any E’s they have two weeks to bring the grade up to passing or they will get a Saturday school to make up the work.
FFA Dollar Bank
For every $1.00 of profit raised by an FFA member, this goes into a “bank” that can be used by the FFA member for conferences and trips. If there is money left in the dollar bank at the end of your senior year you may not have the money. This money will be used to sustain the FFA organization.
$1 profit raised = $1 towards Dollar Bank
FFA Attendance Policy
1. You must prearrange or tell Mr. Pennington in advance that you cannot be at a meeting. If an emergency doesn't allow you to arrange in advance tell Mr. Pennington the following day you are in school why you couldn't attend the meeting. (If you fail to do the items listed above, then you will receive an unexcused absence.)
2. You will be notified of each meeting you have missed and have an unexcused absence. Members who miss 2 unexcused meetings may not attend FFA conferences. Members who miss 4 unexcused meetings per year will be removed. You may appeal the decision by appearing before the officer team and Mr. Pennington and explaining your situation.
3. Work will not count as an excuse because you know of all FFA meetings for the upcoming year. Exceptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
4. If you have an unexcused absence then you may not be allowed to sign up for the local activities discussed at the meeting.
