To: Parents of students attending the National FFA Convention

From: Doug Pennington

I will be chaperoning the trip to Indianapolis, Oct. 21 - Oct. 25.  Each student will need to bring money for meals, souvenirs, etc.  I suggest they have at least $20 per day for meals.  Any additional spending money that you feel necessary should also be included.  It will cost $350 minus the money in there dollar bank.

This is the amount your student owes: ________________

Students MUST have their permission slips signed in order to go.  I will want these by Oct. 19.

Students will need to bring the following: 4 days of official dress, 5 days of casual clothing (dress for predicted weather), swimming suits, toiletries (brush, razor, etc.), medicine for headaches and other things and a positive attitude.  Don't bring valuables on this trip (you won't have time for them anyway).

NOTE:   If you have questions feel free to call me at 749-2184.    My cell phone # is (517) 243-0804.  Feel free to call me at anytime during the convention (I have voice mail).
