2008 Softball Regional Champions
On June 7, 2008 the Olivet Varsity Softball team traveled to Lansing Catholic Central in hopes of making school history by winning a Regional Championship. Guess what? They did! Congratulations girls on defeating Lansing Catholic Central 2-0, and Fennville 8-0. The girls play in the Quarter Finals at Bailey Park on Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at 5:00 p.m. Congratulations!

On May 6, 2008 voters approved our bond issue by a vote count of:554 YES269 NOAdditionally, Ron Wilson was re-elected to the Board of Education and Kevin Sharp is our newcomer. Wendy Fox chose not to run again, and I want to thank her for her time and dedication while serving over the past four years.Continue to visit our web page for facility updates as we head into the design phase of this project. School District Information
The Olivet Community Schools is comprised of three schools. Fern Persons Elementary School has approximately 400 Pre-School through 3rd grade students and was built in 1957 with an addition and renovations completed in 1991 and 2004. Olivet Middle School has approximately 540 4th grade through 8th grade students and was built in 1973. Olivet High School, constructed in 1992, has about 420 9th through 12th graders. An auditorium addition that is shared by both the middle and high school was added in 2005. The high school and middle school are connected and share a common cafeteria, choir room and band room.
KCC Foundation Celebrates Academic Excellence
Brita Kuiper, Erin Campbell, Brandon Maurer, Benjamin Dennis and Tyler Dennis were honored at a reception at the Kellogg Arena on May 14, 2008 for being the "top 5%" of their graduating Class of 2008. Each student selected their "most influential educator" and were able to share personal comments before a packed arena of students, educators, Board of Education members and community leaders from Calhoun, Barry and Branch counties. Special thanks go to the KCC Foundation and Board of Directors for hosting this special event.
