Paraprofessionals/Interventionists Additional Information:

  • Schools are required to hire staff that demonstrate essential knowledge and skills for classroom assistance. Applicants must have two years of college credit OR complete the Michigan Department of Education ETS Para-Pro Assessment: includes Math, Reading and Writing testing. The testing is approximately 2.5 hours and is available at County Service Centers in Branch, Calhoun, Kalamazoo and St. Joseph Counties with a cost of $55. Proof of passing scores are required prior to hiring.


Olivet Community Schools has partnered with the Calhoun Area Substitute Teacher and Teacher Assistant Consortium to secure Substitute Teachers, Teacher Assistants, Paraprofessionals and Food Service Aides.

  2. Complete the required training modules

  3. Print your fingerprint documents (if printed elsewhere, sign a release)
