Olivet Community Schools

Olivet Community Schools received grant funds from the Michigan State Police Office of School Safety for a School Resource Officer.  OCS received a three-year matching grant to provide for an SRO for the district.  We have been working with the City of Olivet on a partnership agreement in which the SRO would be a part of the Olivet Police Department.  On May 26, 2023 Olivet Mayor Laura Barlond-Mass and Superintendent John Mertz signed a partnership agreement for the project.  It is our plan for Olivet Community Schools to have its first ever School Resource Officer in place for the 2023-2024 school year.
