Strategic Plan

Olivet Community Schools is working on a new strategic plan for the district.  The work is being facilitated by Mr. John Silveri of the Michigan Leadership Institute.  The process kicked off in the fall with a series of stakeholder meetings to gain feedback from students, parents, staff, and community members.  The in-person meetings were followed up by an electronic survey sent to parents and community members.

Committee meetings began earlier this month.  An Advisory Team has been established to help guide the process.  The Advisory Team, which consists of about 30 members, is made up of representatives from across the district including parents, students, OCS staff, community members, Board of Education representatives, and administrators from the district.

Thus far the Advisory Team has worked on the district mission and vision, reviewed district data, and has begun to identify priority areas.  These priority areas will become the cornerstones of the strategic plan.

A tentative timeline includes two more meetings of the Advisory Team in March and April followed by subcommittee work to finalize the plan.  The goal is to have the new strategic plan approved and ready for the 2022-2023 school year.  This plan, when completed, will help guide the district moving forward for the next several years.  We will keep you updated as this process moves forward.
