OCS/Charlotte Community Library School Card Opportunity!
Olivet Community Schools is excited to partner with the Charlotte Community Library to give students easier access to books, learning tools, and valuable online resources!
Through the OCS School Card Program, students can enjoy benefits such as:
📖 eBooks & Audiobooks through Libby
🌎 Language Learning with Mango Languages
📚 Access to Physical Library Materials
✨ And so much more!
This partnership is designed to make it easier for students to access resources that support literacy, learning, and academic success—without families having to complete additional paperwork to get started.
Parents and guardians: Please check your email for important information about the School Card Program and an opt-out form. The opt-out form only needs to be returned if you do not want your student’s information (Name and Student ID Number only) shared with the library for the purpose of creating a library card. Opt Out Forms must be returned by September 18th.
Together, we’re helping connect our students with even more opportunities to read, learn, explore, and succeed! 💚

As we begin the new school year, we want to remind all families that Olivet Community Schools’ updated Wireless Communication Devices Policy is in effect immediately.
For our students, this means personal wireless communication devices should not be accessed or used during the school day. This includes:
📱 Cell phones
⌚ Smart watches
👓 Smart/AI glasses
📲 Other personal wireless communication devices
Our goal is simple: to create a safe, engaging, and distraction-free learning environment where students can focus on learning, building relationships, and being present throughout their school day.
We appreciate our families taking a few minutes to review these expectations with their students before arriving at school tomorrow. Your partnership and support help us start the year with clear and consistent expectations for everyone.

Olivet Community Schools recently sent a test message through our emergency notification system. If you did not receive the text, please contact your child’s school office and speak with the building secretary to make sure your contact information is up to date.
Keeping your information current helps ensure you receive important notifications about snow days, school closures, schedule changes, and other emergencies.

As we prepare for the new school year, we are making a few changes to student parking at Olivet High School. These changes are designed to improve student safety and building security.
🚗 STUDENT PARKING
Beginning this year, all student drivers will park on the auditorium side of the building. Please review the document below for student parking areas.
This change is being made after concerns last year involving building access on the gym/B-Wing side and traffic involving student drivers during 4th & 5th grade afternoon pick-up.
We know that changes to parking and traffic patterns can take a little time to become routine. Thank you for helping us create a safer and more efficient arrival and dismissal process for everyone.
Please review the attached parking and drop-off map before the first day of school.
