Congratulations to the Olivet FFA on their Spring Ag Skills Contest Results!
Agricultural Mechanics team placed 1st place and going to nationals! As an individual, Riley Flanders received 1st, Luke Wallen 4th, Lyle Lawrence 10th, and Drew Cortright 15th. This was out of 179 individuals.
Ag. Communications team placed 5th place out of 15 teams and included: Lyla LaPaugh, Samantha Lawson, Katherine Pell, Mckenzie Kemp, and Maddy Patterson.
Ag. Sales placed 8th out of 20 teams and included Tyler Piepkow, Lillian Hall, Nicole Neal, and April Davis. Tyler Piepkow received 1st in the state and Lillian Hall received 2nd in the state in the contest.
Jr. High Quiz Bowl were also state winners! Team members were: Rebecca Lawrence, Lilly Noble, Ty Conklin, and Emma Jo Khan.
Forestry (high school) team placed 10th silver out of 59 teams. Team members were: Katie Gothberg, Jaxson Kozar, and Easton Perry.
Forestry (jr. high) team placed 2nd Gold out of 16 teams. Team members were: Dane Hardy, Tripp Thering, Liam Hamilton, John Krohn, and Kamden LaPaugh.
Floriculture (high school) team placed 18th silver out of 101 teams. Gabriella Step, Aubrey Flanders and Briella Boswell were on the team. As individuals Aubrey Flanders received 21st and Briella Boswell received 26th.
Floriculture (jr. high) team were Jade Strader and Chloe Cortright. They lacked a team member so they didn’t get a team placing.
Horse Judging team placed 13th and included Anna London, Kainen Lindsay, Gabriella Stepp, and Raelynn Schlee.
Vet Science placed 79th out of 116 teams and included: Riley Betts, Ben Fuller, Emily Palmer, and Heidi Barc.

Olivet High School Class of 1982 Scholarship
The Olivet High School Class of 1982 Scholarship is available to Olivet High School graduating senior(s) planning to attend any two-year or four-year college or university.
Applicants must exhibit community and school involvement coupled with leadership skills and maintain a GPA of 3.0. Financial information is requested but not necessarily a determining factor.
Applications are available through the high school counselor or on the Marshall Community Foundation website, www.marshallcf.org. Deadline to apply is April 30.

Olivet Lions Club Scholarship
The Olivet Lions Club Scholarship is available to Olivet High School graduating seniors planning to continue their education at an accredited two-year or four-year college or vocational institution. Applicants should demonstrate academic excellence and leadership skills as well as volunteer their time for community service projects. Recipients chosen will best represent the mission and goals of the Lions Club. Our International Mission Statement reads “We empower volunteers to serve their communities, meet humanitarian needs, encourage peace and promote international understanding.”
Applications are available through the high school counselor’s office. Deadline to apply is April 30.

Award Criteria: Award(s) will be given to Olivet High School graduating senior(s) planning to pursue a career in agriculture (farming, farm mechanic, farm business, welding, etc).
Deadline to apply: May 15
Applicants must be a member of the Olivet FFA or a 4-H Club.
