Good Afternoon 6-8 Families,
The first two days of school have been nothing short of exciting! The students have shown incredible enthusiasm, and it has been wonderful to see them reconnect with friends and engage in their learning. We’ve already begun exploring new topics and building a positive classroom communities. I am beyond grateful for the opportunity to serve the students and staff at OMS.
I also wanted to share that today, we sent home the Chromebook Loan Agreement Forms with students. Please ensure that these are returned by Monday, August 26th, so we can distribute Chromebooks to all of our students promptly. If you have any questions please reach out to the OMS Office at 269-749-9953.

4-8th grade families, we have an awesome Summer School opportunity for your student/s this summer! We have several openings available on a first come, first serve basis. There are two segments for this program: June 10-27 and July 29-August 15 (M-Th all weeks). This will be held at OMS from 9:00AM-11:30AM each day. 4th/5th Grade Hallway, today is a half day of school. We will dismiss at 11:42am. Lunch will not be provided. We made it to Summer!
4th/5th grade families, please utilize the upper level for seating during the Awards ceremony. Students will be sitting in the lower level during this time. Reminder to keep food/drinks in your vehicles. Thank you for the help!
4th/5th Grade Hallway, we have 2 1/2 days of school this week. Monday and Tuesday are full days. Wednesday is a 1/2 day , with dismissal at 11:42 am. If you wish to take your child home after the awards assembly today, please find their homeroom teacher and sign them out.
4th/5th grade families, we are excited to have you join us in the Auditorium. 5th grade is at 1:00pm, doors open at 12:30pm. 4th grade is at 2:00. If you are coming to 4th grade's awards, please remain quiet in the lobby, as the 5th grade awards will be happening.
It's always bittersweet waving goodbye to the graduates. Our students were very excited to be part of this amazing tradition. Good luck seniors!!

Hi OCS Families!
Due to the cancellation of tonight’s Detroit Tigers game, a doubleheader will now be played tomorrow. This means tomorrow’s game will begin at 12:40 p.m. with our 9-12 Band and Choir student’s performing the National Anthem at approximately 12:13 p.m.
To accommodate the change, students are asked to report directly to the motor coaches on the Auditorium side between 7:15 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. tomorrow for a 7:35 a.m. departure.

5th grade families, Track and Field Day will begin at 1:00 p.m. today at the OHS track. This is located on the east end of the OMS/OHS complex, on the playground side. Please come and support our students. Reminder to bring plenty of water and sunscreen!
